The Roanoke Valley Chapter and WSLS Channel 10 are looking for local heroes who have saved someone else's life, performed an act of courage or offered a valuable service to the community. We want to honor these people at our seventh annual A Celebration of Heroes event, a community awards program, hosted by the Red Cross and WSLS Channel 10.

     Perhaps you already know of someone who should be nominated. Maybe you will encounter a hero before the end of the year. As you come across a hero, fill out a nomination form and send it in to us. Our volunteer committee will select the heroes and host the awards breakfast on March 31, 2010.

Nominate your hero today by completing a nomination form.
Deadline for nominations is January 4, 2010. The act must have occurred between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2009. Heroes must be from Roanoke, Botetourt, Franklin, and Craig Counties; the Cities of Salem and Roanoke; and the Town of Vinton.
